Entertainment industry Moguls, Quincy Jones, Benny Medina, Andre’ Harrell and Eddie F collectively assisted in launching Al B Sure! as one of today's most innovative writer, producer, recording artists in the Business of Music and Entertainment today! Al B Sure!'s history in the entertainment industry spans nearly two decades commencing as a recording engineer for his pastor, Bishop Odell Lyerly’s Bible Way church’s radiobroadcast for a small local am station in New Rochelle, NY. Then producer & background vocalist for the legendary Hip-Hop group Heavy D & the Boyz. Most recently Al B! celebrated the 17th Year anniversary of his Billboard certified, double-platinum + debut album release of "In Effect Mode" (produced by cousin Kyle West, Teddy Riley & Al B Sure!) by releasing the historical compilation of his #1 R&B hits as well as the “fan favorite” tunes from years past with “The Very Best of Al B Sure!” CD on Rhino / Warner Brothers Records.


Al B!'s debut Musical effort "In Effect Mode" launched him to the top of the Billboard charts, resting at the #1 position on the R&B chart for an astounding seven (7) straight weeks. Subsequently in 1987, Quincy Jones selected Al B! as the first winner of the "Sony Innovators" Talent Search in a blindfold contest. Afterwards, Al B! would go on to work with "Q" on several projects, most notably, the Platinum Single, "Secret Garden" from "Q's" Back on the Block, Double Platinum soundtrack CD. Accompanying Al B! on this groundbreaking quartet were the Maestro, the late Mr. Barry White, El Debarge and James Ingram produced by the legend himself, entertainment industry Mogul Quincy Jones.


Al B Sure! continued to create an extraordinary presence in the Entertainment industry & Music scene validated by numerous awards including a Grammy nomination in the category of “best single” in the company of Eric Clapton, Prince & Luther Vandross, and an American Music Award for Best New R&B Artist. Al B! also received several Soul Train Award nominations and the Soul Train Award for Best New Artist; Several New York Music Awards & more than Thirty-Five (35) ASCAP Awards for writing and composition performance. In addition Al B!'s "900" phone line was 3rd in generating revenue following the teen phenomenon, boy band New Kids On The Block and Russell Simmons unprecedented discovery of Rap Music's Hip-Hop legends, RUN*DMC. Al B! would later become VP of A&R for the Historical Motown Record Label.


In 2002, Al B! entered the world of Television with a splash by Co Executive Producing the Jamie Foxx HBO Comedy Special, “I Might Need Security” along with Marcus King, Gary Reeves, Ehrich Van Lowe & Foxx. The special featured the comedic genius of the Oscar award winning actor and was filmed @ The historical Paramount Theatre in Oakland, California.


Then Al B! teamed up with ABC Radio Networks and launched a new, romantic music intense, celebrity filled, syndicated evening radio show titled "Al B Sure!’s Secret Garden Radio"! Hosted by himself and produced by Kia Rene’. Al B!'s vision for “Secret Garden Radio” is taking a journey into the souls of the listener, supplying non stop blazing hot, romantic, current & classic Soulful Music. Taking the captive audience wherever they desire to travel as well as introduce them to the "Inside and Personal" view of their favorite celebrity through Intriguing and Stimulating Conversation (reminiscent of Al B!’s radio idols & NYC's legendary on-air personalities, Vaughn Harper & Frankie Crocker); weekly visits from Celebrity Guests & Intriguing personalities from every genre' of the Music, Sports, TV & Film industries.


***To add to Al B!’s busy schedule, his National Slow Jams HD Radio Morning Drive, Secret Garden Show completes the ala carte 6am-10am seven days per week. Al B! also hosted the pre-show future music picks @ the 2007 American Music Awards on ABC TV along side of LA’s morning show mega personality and the former radio Co-Host of 102.7 KISS FM’s Ryan Seacrest. Al B! & Ms. Foxx most recently appeared on the Channel 5 KTLA Morning Show as “Music Industry Experts” for the 50th annual Grammy Awards.


The latest business venture with manager JR Regisford and production partner multiplatinum producer Terence Dudley is the “Al B.Sure! Live Concert Series.” The star studded events will initially bring the “E” in entertainment back to Los Angeles by sharing R&B, Latino, Old School and specialty events to the underserved Southern California community. Manager JR Regisford states “As of recent LA events are not focused on serving these consumer demographics and force them to endure genres of music unfitting to their lifestyles reminiscent of a billboard top 100 compilation CD. The first in the series consisted of Tyrese, Tank & special guest Jamie Foxx, Ginuwine, 112 and Avante, Lil B.Sure! hosted by ABS!


As a Writer & Producer, Al B! has generated some of today's most inspired and innovative music, including his Music Industry introduction of the Multi-Platinum group "JODECI" ... Al B!'s introduction of "JODECI" and Production on their Multi-Platinum debut launched Al B Sure! as one of the premier and decorated producer/songwriters in the history of the music business. Al B!'s outstanding ability for discovering and identifying unique, natural talent himself led him to a young, beautiful, church-attending song-stress who Al B! instantaneously employed as his production demo singer after hearing her "Instrument Like" vocal chords. Nicknamed "The Dr." she will always be known to most as P-Diddy’s, First Lady of Bad Boy Records, (currently with Capitol Records), Multi-Platinum Recording Artist "Faith Evans". Al B!'s production team also launched the likes of vocalists Dave Hollister, Case Woodard, Usher Raymond & Tevin Campbell to name a few. Al B! is also featured in Usher’s VH-1“Driven special, a documentary on Usher’s latest CD titled “Confessions” and an introspective look into his life and the beginnings with Al B! & P Diddy’s guidance into the launch of his debut CD. Over the years the Hip-Hop culture has embraced ABS! by either sampling or remaking more than 20 of the publics street favorite select compositions from his melodic catalogue. Most recently Al B! teamed up with Brooklyn’s own Duo Live & “Spit Game Super Star” Fabolous for a remake of Al B!’s #1 Nite & Day Smashing Pumpkins and turned it into a “Princess.”


AL B! makes an appearance in the CodeBlack /Universal film/DVD “The HIT” starring heartthrob Blair Underwood, comedian-actor DeRay Davis & James Russo of “The God Father.” Al B!’s role as “Nice Guy” will introduce his acting skills to a new audience outside of his faithful music fans from around the world. “I wish to respectfully make my way into the acting world with plans of working towards a successful career in this privileged arena and I dream of a minuscule taste of the same success as my acting mentors, Oscar award winning actor Denzel Washington, Laurence Fishburne, Anthony Hopkins & Jamie Foxx that keep their audiences captive & on the edge of their seats with every performance.” Al B! also co-starred with Martin Lawrence in a pilot entitled "Private Times", directed by the late George Jackson, Doug McHenry and Stan Lathan. The star-studded cast included "ER's" bombshell, Michael Michelle & "The Five Heartbeats" Michael Wright.


Al B!'s various network appearances include "The Oprah Winfrey Show, David Letterman, Jay Leno, Good Morning America, Arsenio Hall, Rolanda, Phil Donahue, NBC's Live at 5, and Good Morning LA. Al B!'s television and acting performances include The Apollo Theatre, BET, Soul Train & Soul Train Awards, The Grammy's, The American Music Awards, "Will Smith's" Fresh Prince of Bel Air, "Quincy Jones'" Back on the Block movie/documentary & ABC's Magic Johnson Special from Hawaii. Al B! also assisted MTV Networks in launching its first R&B dedicated show on the Network by hosting "MTV Jams".
